THE decision all of you were waiting for has been finally taken. There will be no reseat. That’s what the “academic committee of experts” from Cambridge decided. However, the leaks happened, There is no denials about that. Hence the solution is as follows :

  • Adjust the Marking scheme so that every student is treated equally.
  • This will mainly affect physics paper2 and paper 4. It has been said that most of the question are “low ability” question, except for some 5 questions. It is emphasized that the “higher ability” questions were untainted these experts said that these question were sufficient to make the difference between the students.
  • Note that it has been decided that the leaks for maths and chemistry were negligible. Hence normal correction will take place for these.

So, first of all, i would like to wish a happy holiday to all Science students! No stress! 😀

However, does everybody agree with this decision? Note that this decision was voted in unanimity. Sure its not a perfect decision but, i think its the best decision. To be fair to everybody. Nothing has been revealed on the NEW MARKING SCHEME.

  1. NO seat..I did know that decision..:p.

But the reasons behind that decision is bullshit..How can they know who “cheated” and who did not?
    WooooW.
THey got a boule de crystal..

    **Not the Crystal porn Actress**

  2. @Tushy-> i think what cambridge means is that it is going to ignore some of the easy questions and mark pupils based only their performance on hard questions. Marking will be same for ALL students, even for those who might have cheated.

Therefore, students that have been aiming to get the max marks in easy questions(fill in the blanks etc :P), c’est raté! only hardcore questions from section B will be taken into account

  3. @Luvnish–>I’m the unique specimen over here. You do know why.I always work badly in easy questions and work well in tough questions.
Dring dring, Physics multiple choice questions.LoL.

I’m hoping to get my hands on an official document which has those “reasonings”.I hope to be successful in the coming days.

@Sarina–>Nothing will happened now.You will get your grade on how you have worked and not on how others have worked.

Students who have badly worked will now be DOUBLE angry and frustrated because they were counting on this to have a re seat.A big kick on their asses.

  4. ahhh awesome. Cambridge errs but sure take some good decisions sometimes. funny how they turn the tables.. at the first there were leakages, cheaters and stuff..in the end..it doesnt even matter.. oops i mean.. in the end, discussions and malaysian studs. way to go CIE.

  5. i always new that the leakage was minimal…
the media were wrong in dramatising the leakages..lol
    lol..all this fuss for nothing..

well.after reading a newspaper..it seems that there are still many students who do not accept the decision of the government..

Well if they still want a resit, i think its better that they pay the exams fees themselves!!!

  7. Nothing was said about actions that will be taken to reinforce security(for next year exams). The Exam time table will be same? or they will alter it so as to make them coincide? But how? when its 8.am here, in malaysia, pakistan, australia its not the same time. How are they going to proceed next year?

What about the leaks via telefone and email?

What about considerng Bac a Laureat as an alternative?

Everybody(in the government) just shut the fcuk up??? This issue was judged too small in the end. They need a bigger problem, then!, yes THEN! they will take some actions..

  8. Anyways, as discussed previously, the issue is going down on the concern billboard, been replaced by the Mumbai attacks and by January nobody will take about that until the results are proclaimed by March/April.

  9. cambridge talked bout giving individual papers for each country… i dunno exactly wat actions will be taken..but according to the minister, the baccalaureat cannot be implemented in 1 year.. so we will have to bear with cambridge for some time..but yeh im pretty sure CIE will do the necessary.. bah.. fux em..facebook ftw

  10. Yea exactly…the mumbai attack and the festive times coming soon shall make our dear citizen of the suc*ing country forget about it very soon and by next year only a minimum amount of people will only talk about it.

ANyway i think its a good news for those who wont have to reseat for the exam.
